The OpenAI Foundation has launched AI for Civil Society and Philanthropy to help nonprofits, academic institutions, community groups and philanthropic organisations adopt advanced AI.
The Foundation has committed $50 million to expand its People-First AI Fund, backing AI initiatives led by local nonprofits and other community-serving organizations.
The Foundation said the initiative will fund research and pilot projects examining AI’s impact on employment, economic growth and income distribution.
