OpenAI announced rolling out of GPT-6 across ChatGPT, bringing a new capability called “Intelligent UI” that allows the chatbot to generate interactive multimedia interfaces alongside conventional text responses.
The rollout began globally for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users, while Free and Go users are scheduled to receive access from October 8.
“We’ve trained GPT‑6 to compose responses using text, visuals and interactive elements, choosing how they fit together based on your question. With Intelligent UI, responses can include graphics, tappable buttons, forms, charts, and interactive experiences you can use directly in your conversation,” read a statement by OpenAI.

Showing an interactive design sample of seven parts of a bicycle, OpenAI said users can now get their prompts/questions answered through visual graphics, side-by-side comparison, interactive diagram or a simple text answer depending on the need.

OpenAI said the feature is powered by a library of native, streamable components and a compiler that processes interfaces as the model generates them. This allows interactive elements to appear progressively instead of requiring users to wait for an entire response to be completed.
“We expanded our training methods to help the model make thoughtful decisions about content, layout, visuals, and interaction. This included evaluating the interfaces it creates for clarity, usefulness, and completeness. GPT‑6 learned to use the component library and make good design decisions, including how to organize information clearly, when to use interactivity, and when a simple text response is enough,” added OpenAI in their statement.
The AI company informed that they have updated its safety training based on lessons from real-world use to strengthen protections against high-risk misuse involving cyberattacks, biological threats, and violence.
