Google announced a limited release of its latest flagship AI model Gemini 4 Argon on Wednesday, claiming that the model records frontier AI performance in complex workflows including coding, legal and finance as well as cybersecurity and visually strong research work.

Google has made Gemini 4 Argon available to limited “trusted partners” under their Fairwind Program where companies and institutes are given access to frontier AI models before they hit the market, to strengthen their safeguards against cyber threats.

Google has kept the price of Gemini 4 Argon at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens priced at 95% off input token price. T

“Safely releasing frontier capabilities at this level requires a phased approach. We are actively engaged in the U.S. government’s voluntary process for pre-release model access while we gradually expand access. We’ll continue to gather feedback from early testers as we iterate on guardrails before making Argon available to developers, enterprises, and consumers as soon as possible,” read a statement from Google on Wednesday.

Google has also shared results from independent evaluator Vals Index that gave Gemini 4 Argon a 68.90% in accuracy, ahead of its competitors Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Fable 5.1.

Google claimed that their frontier AI model Gemini 4 Argon is already embedded in the organization’s internal workflow where it assists employees in coding tasks, deeper research and writing.

“Google engineers have been using Argon for their daily tasks, from everyday debugging to large-scale codebase migrations and algorithm designs. It sets a new state of the art on DeepSWE v1.1 (77.9%), which measures a model’s performance in real-world long-horizon software engineering tasks. Argon is also uniquely strong when knowledge work requires visual understanding ,” claimed Google.

According to Google, Gemini 4 Argon excels in quantum algorithmic optimization as the AI model reduces the number of qubit gate units of resource usage(space/storage) as the tech giant reported a 40% reduction compared with baseline.

In Memory efficiency, Gemini 4 Argon, under evaluation, freed up to 300+ Tib of memory by looking for looking for millions of small efficiencies/ unused computer RAM across Google’s infrastructure. Similarly ijn cybersecurity, Argon uncovered a wide range of exposures across complex codebases spanning 20 programming languages.

Google claimed that Gemini 4 Argon is designed to refuse harmful requests from bad actors while preserving legitimate dual use scientific research. Google said Argon is designed to be harder to trick into following malicious instructions hidden inside information it reads.
