The eastern Indian state of Bihar is set to host its first-ever AI Summit on May 23–24, 2026, aimed at attracting key AI/tech companies and investments in a state known for its agrarian economy.

The two-day event organized by Qlass, a private company with support from IT ministry of Bihar, will bring together AI experts, policymakers, startups, industry leaders, researchers, investors, and students from across the country to discuss the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping governance, innovation, and industry.

Calling it “a big step for Bihar’s tech future,” State Minister for Urban Development and IT Nitish Mishra said to Television media that the summit aims to position Bihar as a hub of AI-driven innovation and digital transformation.

Organized in collaboration with key government departments, the event will focus on real-world AI applications across sectors including healthcare, education, defence, agriculture, finance, transportation, energy, and climate change.

The two-day summit will feature keynote addresses, leadership sessions, panel discussions, startup pitching events, live technology showcases, and networking opportunities. Major discussions will include “AI in Defense & Security,” “AI in Healthcare,” “AI in Education & Higher Education,” and “AI for Climate Change & Forestation.”

A dedicated Exhibition & Stalls Zone will allow startups, IT companies, EdTech firms, research institutions, MSMEs, and government departments to showcase AI-powered products, services, and innovations. This platform will help participants connect directly with investors, enterprises, and policymakers while encouraging collaboration between government, academia, and industry.

The Bihar AI Summit 2026 is anticipated to represent a crucial milestone in the state’s endeavors to establish a robust technology and innovation ecosystem.
