Multiverse Computing has introduced Quasar 438B, a reasoning model aimed at enterprise AI agents, coding and other complex workloads.

Quasar scored 43 on Artificial Analysis’ Intelligence Index v4.1.1, a composite benchmark combining nine evaluations of AI capabilities. According to Multiverse, the score placed Quasar ahead of Mistral Medium 3.5 at 30, NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra at 38 and Inkling at 42, while Claude Opus 5 led the comparison with a score of 63.

The company described it as “the highest-scoring European model in the field.”

The company said Quasar can generate 500 tokens, including reasoning time, in 15.3 seconds. Only three models in the comparison were faster, with Gemini 3.7 Flash the only one to also score higher on the Intelligence Index.

Quasar supports English and Spanish and is intended for multi-step tasks involving planning, tool use, code execution and long-context reasoning.
