Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a five-year agreement with Porsche AG worth $1.46 billion to deploy artificial intelligence across the automaker’s engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience functions.

TCS will establish an AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche to develop and scale AI applications across its product and value chain. The partnership combines TCS’s AI and technology capabilities with Porsche’s automotive expertise.

TCS CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan said the partnership combines TCS’s AI capabilities with Porsche’s automotive expertise. He said it will help “industrialize AI at scale for Porsche” and accelerate AI applications across its value chain.

Porsche CEO Dr. Michael Leiters said combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’s digital technology and AI capabilities would help improve innovation, efficiency and competitiveness.

As part of the broader arrangement, TCS, through its subsidiary, will acquire 100% of MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH (MHP), Porsche’s Germany-based management and IT consulting subsidiary, for an enterprise value of $373 million.

MHP employs more than 4,500 people worldwide and is headquartered in Ludwigsburg, near Stuttgart. The acquisition remains subject to customary regulatory and competition-law approvals and is expected to be finalized in the coming months.

TCS has been expanding its AI infrastructure, including an AI-Powered Research & Innovation Centre launched in Singapore in 2025. The centre works on AI, generative AI, quantum computing and robotics, with applications across IT, business and other sectors.
